Who operates Next Brain

Next Brain is operated by NEXT BRAIN LTD, registered in England and Wales. Company number: 17524205.

Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ.

These terms apply to your use of next-brain.ai and its hosted research tools. Contact us at [email protected] about the service or these terms. Please read them before creating an account or submitting work.

Research tools and results

Next Brain provides tools for computational neuroscience, simulation, training and research. Models, datasets and results have the assumptions and limitations described with them. You are responsible for checking whether they are suitable for your work and independently validating conclusions. The platform does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and research outputs must not be used as a substitute for clinical judgement.

Accounts and access

Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. If you use the platform for an organisation, you must have permission to do so. Invitations and waitlist registration do not guarantee access, a particular invitation date or available compute capacity.

Acceptable use and compute resources

Use only accounts, data and resources you are authorised to access. Do not upload malicious code, attempt to escape execution environments, bypass access controls or quotas, interfere with other users, or use the service unlawfully. Follow the limits shown for each feature. Jobs may be queued, limited, cancelled or fail because of capacity, maintenance, resource limits or security concerns. Keep your own copies of important inputs and results.

Your content and sharing

You retain your rights in the models, code, datasets and other content you submit. You grant us permission to store, copy and process that content as needed to provide the features you request, including running jobs and displaying results. You must hold the permissions needed for this use. Share content only when you have the right to do so; recipients may retain copies after a sharing link is withdrawn.

Do not upload identifiable patient records, sensitive personal data or confidential third-party material unless we have separately agreed suitable arrangements with you. Public and properly anonymised research datasets remain subject to their own licences and access conditions.

Open source and third-party materials

Brian2 Atlas, third-party software, publications, models and datasets are governed by their respective licences and attribution requirements. These terms do not replace those licences or restrict rights they grant. Access to the hosted platform does not transfer ownership of its branding or other proprietary materials.

Availability and responsibility

The platform is developing and features may change. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, successful execution or that a result will be accurate or suitable for a particular purpose. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, address misuse or comply with law. Where practicable, we will explain material restrictions and give reasonable notice of significant service changes.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your mandatory statutory rights, including applicable consumer rights, remain unaffected.

Privacy

Our Privacy notice explains how we handle account information, research content and website analytics, and how to exercise your data protection rights.

Changes and applicable law

We will publish changes to these terms on this page with an updated date and provide additional notice where required. Changes apply prospectively. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer to rely on the law or courts of your place of residence.
