Scientific overview

What this model represents

The macaque visual-cortex multi-area model spans 32 areas and 254 layer- and cell-type-resolved populations. This diagram aggregates the network; it is not a complete 254-population wiring specification. The site's prior engineering note reports a full-scale run around 4.13 million neurons and 24.1 billion recurrent synapses, with scientific equivalence still under validation.
